Just something to throw out there.... What I think they should be doing with the Vidikron Deal .... Keep the two 2 chip dlp projectors as well as the 3 chip projector... Make them all available with rear projection for consumer market... See which of the Vidikron projectors are compatible with HDTV and different aspect ratios (I believe 2 of them are) and make them available for use in both rear and front projection... This way with the onset of HDTV and the necessary adjustments to DLP projectors they will have several models that are useable either as rear or front projection and HDTV compatible and right around the same price as the competition... Consumer market is where the money is and rear projection is the consumer market... They also have additional patents with other innovative rear projection bases...may be time to experiment.
