Russia’s Gazprom has set the average natural gas export price to $240 per 1,000 cubic metres in 2021. - reuters.com

This price is $6.79 per 1,000 cubic feet which is comparable to LNG prices. - eia.gov

If US LNG suppliers are willing to commit to long term benchmarked-price contracts with European utilities, that's certainly available. In recent years the US has revealed that radically shifting US policy can be a potential political risk for Europe, similar to the risk associated with natural gas from Russia.

It makes a lot of sense for Europe to have several major natural gas suppliers to minimize the risk of any of them playing political games.
