As I mentioned before also on this tread - since my university days I grasped that all the failed students went into politics and this is unfortunate. Those that do succeeded build an academic/engineering career. Unfortunate the failed students quickly learned to lie with a strait face engaged in manipulation of everything and climbed the ranks trough intrigue and subversion. Therefore I dislike with a passion every politician everywhere, that reached power with very few exception, as always you cannot include them all for the same sins'. Once in a while there are also honest idealistic politicians that succeed - I do think Angela Merkel is one of that rare breed and probably others which I do not know enough.
