Take the case of Afghanistan, bombed back from the Bronze Age to the Stone Age, for 20-years of nation-building by like-minded, and now, as the foreign nation-builders leave, at the cusp of change, for better or worse, presumably after a sorting out of collaborators and quislings, creating anxiety amongst outsiders yet again
