I think IBM would be the more logical buyer of Netscape.

IBM has a history of contesting the PC OS market with msft.

They haven't been successful yet, but that doesn't mean IBM accepts msft's supremacy.In fact,the current DOJ/ States Attorneys actions have msft disstracted and possibly vulnerable.

IBM bought Lotus not too long ago.

IBM is the world's largest software provider.

IBM is clearly trying to project a youthful, innovative net oriented perception to it's customers/investors.

IBM would accomplish this objective thru a Netscape aquisition.
