Norfolk Southern (NYSE: NSC) declares $1.09/share quarterly dividend, 10.1% increase from prior dividend of $0.99. Forward yield 1.69% Payable Aug. 20; for shareholders of record Aug. 9; ex-div Aug. 6. ----------- Any time a company we own announces a 10% increase or more in the dividend, it becomes an automatic add to. Since income growth is an important aspect of our portfolios, when I get exceptional dividend growth, I want more of that company thus increasing the amount of income the asset generates.
