I don't spend all day looking at dozens of indicators trying to call tops. That is such a waste of time. Instead, I focus mainly on price and trend.

There are two types of stocks I focus on for short positions. One is the stock that has had a major parabolic run up and has already broken down. That is the safest short. The second is the stock that has had a huge run up and is showing signs of a major top. I call the later a rounded top, the inverse long equivalent of a coiled bottom. This is a little riskier short, but possesses bigger profits since you catch the decline early on.

It is always welcome, of course, to get the big story, with a lot of hype.
