Apple has come a long way since the days it was an iPhone centric company with a limited pe that traded in a narrow band depending on each new phone iteration. I have recently been selling lots of my winners of the past two years and consolidating my position around what looks to me to be the bank of Gibraltar Apple.

They have shown they can make record amounts of money during a pandemic and with an established base now over a billion of the most loyal owners of iPhones the recurring stream of hardware and services is as sure as it can be. It is certainly worth it to me to pay a premium for such a money making machine. They continue to get switchers from Android worldwide and the field is wide open for that to continue.

I don’t think the market appreciates the very real possibility that new products will come in the next few years and the adoption rate to buy them given their loyal base can immediately expand their revenue exponentially.

My one overarching worry is China but barring a real Cold War breaking out, God forbid a shooting war, I believe apple has insulated themselves from Chinese gov’t interference but that is a worry given how the Chinese cracked down on their own companies.

In any event apple can likely overcome even a loss of revenue from China given their worldwide footprint but it would certainly be a setback to the model.
