A bit of relevant context from a few interesting sources:

April, 1999, in stodgy old American Heritage: That Streaking Fad

Two decades later, from a college* newspaper... Streaking will expose you more than what you think

My point, of course, was that the proofs in the quality of ones thought... should have it stand on its own... and, failing in that, it probably matters more, still, than the purported quality of the audience on whom you choose to act to inflict it...

Streaking is a similar act... while getting the Nobel Committee to look provides more than equal validation... as neither choice succeeds in creating any rational connection...

The myopia adopted... a fallacy... occurs in about the worst possible form of an appeal to (others) authority...

But, in one instance... entirely without entertainment value... ?

Where did we go wrong... that kids in 2019 would so entirely lack BOTH the humor of prior generations... and their willingness to take a risk to make a statement... even in fostering a farce ?

* assuming Chico State... qualifies ?
