Amazon has announced that it's rolling out "faster Same-Day Delivery" to another six US cities, taking the total to 12 cities.

Last year, Amazon decided to start offering a faster version of its Same-Day deliveries covering around 3 million items in select cities. Eligible customers taking advantage of the service could expect to receive their orders "in just a few hours."

To begin with, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Orlando, and Dallas got the faster deliveries, but that expanded to include Nashville and Washington, D.C. before the end of 2021. The six new cities being added this month are Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Tampa, Charlotte, and Houston, and Amazon has now put a figure on how fast those deliveries will arrive. You'll have a knock on your door "in as fast as five hours."

There are four specific time slots available for Same-Day deliveries that are based on when an order is placed. Ordering between midnight and 8 a.m. will see your order arrive by 1 p.m. Order between 8 a.m. and 1p.m. and it arrives by 6 p.m. Order between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and it arrives by 10 p.m., and finally, ordering between 5 p.m. and midnight will see your products arrive by 8 a.m. the next morning...
