Pfizer received almost $2 billion Operation Warp Speed supply contract in July 2020 before its vaccine was tested and available.
IIRC, the NYTimes was all over Trump for not pre-purchasing more doses of Pfizer's vaccine.

Leftists like ro33 were all wringing their hands over the NYTimes blatant hit piece because they thought Pfizer would refuse to sell more doses to America after the initial 100M ran out. "tHaT's oNlY eNoUgH fOr 50M aMeRiCaNs!"
