A big problem is lack of thinking [as usual]. So people "think" by slogan.
For decades, anti-vaxxers have been seen as unscientific loony bin cranks who don't understand Settled Science. So the vaxxers have thought of themselves as the enlightened people who go with The Science. Here's another vax, so of course the vaxxers, thinking themselves highly enlightened and superior to the loser, hippie, ignorant, superstitious anti-vaxxers line up in droves to get the vax and stop the covid.
Unfortunately, the vaxxers didn't read the small print. This is not your garden-variety vaccination.
They can't sue the vaccine makers
Or their government
Or their vaccinator
If they are one of the many unfortunates who get the short straw, they are out of luck.
They get limited protection for a limited time even if the vaccine is not too harmful to them and is highly efficacious against the particular pathogen it's aimed at.
Unfortunately, the numbers are not available to me to see just what the epidemiology is for the the viruses and the vaccinations.
Where's the data? I have scoured the NZ government website and there is much assuring prose but negligible data. There's never good data so I haven't bothered searching Cyberspace in detail. When the vaccine producers hide rather than put their epidemiological data with pride for all to see, along with data on nutrition status of those not taking/taking the vaccines along with all the other variables such as age, weight, height, BMI, gender, race, health aspects, I assume they don't provide the data for good reason, more to do with selling their vaccines than my good health.
If I had a double your money back guarantee highly effective vaccine to offer, I'd have wall to wall data, highly clickable, so that everyone would be swarming to buy it from me. If there was risk, I'd offer $millions to any unlucky people who got harm despite complying with vaccination requirements. For example, no haemophiliacs, no children, no this that or the other type people.
I'd buy a crippled virus gastrointestinal vaccine. But I'm waiting to see regarding the covid spike RNA vaccines by injection into blood in arms.
