DEC is still in the game and will introduce new Alpha systems. CPQ is not "highly" enthused with Alpha and Alpha sales will have to increase for CPQ to invest in Alpha. The best I hope for is for CPQ engineers to "borrow" DEC technology for high speed Pentium and Merced systems which I HOPE will use ESDRAM. The future is clouded but it might be a sun rise or sun set.
