No, deciding those cases isn't defining liberty or freedom. It might be allowing or even imposing restrictions on freedom but that isn't the same thing.

I meant to say what I said and it was correct. I do disagree with a lot of things courts do but that's also not the same thing. I wasn't complaining about their role, just stating that it isn't to define the English language. Disagreeing with their decisions is a third thing different from either of those.
