I have to laugh at the sudden outrage at apple for trying to stop the scourge of child exploitation. The same people who sat on their hands when Facebook and Twitter for the last year have done their bidding by silencing all manner of speech that hurt their democratic partners.

This is why it is a slippery slope to mix ideology with investing because capitalism makes for strange bedfellows and today’s ideological friends becomes tomorrow’s frenemies and next weeks enemies. Should I sell moderna because they have become greedy or Disney because they have become obsessed with political correctness. I think not. We are all hypocrites. If Obama can have a palatial estate on the very ground he supposedly believes will soon be under water and party like there is no real delta variant who am I to cut off my nose to spite my face.

The rules for thee and not for me won’t work on me.That dog won’t hunt especially since they tell us over and over we only have only a decade left for our planet to support life. Just maybe they don’t believe their own propaganda. After all 50 years ago the headlines were about a planet about to become frozen. A pox on all their houses. I do know I can support apple in fighting child exploitation.
