re: Tim Draper.

He looks to have some pluses and minuses, as everybody does. Some of the plusses have been spectacular, and Theranos was a spectacular minus.

Regarding Theranos.
What we are talking about is failed miniaturisation. It could have been a failed mission right from the start.

i.e with a $Billion or two, and the right project team in place, I am sure several of those medical tests could have been improved upon.

I was part of a team that was tasked to make a "scanner on a chip" once upon a time. From about 50 odd chips working with a variety mechanical systems down to one chip that cut the price down by about a factor of ten. .

Micro technology has made incredible strides over the past 50 years or so, so one would expect the medical tests to become easier, more accurate, slicker, and use less blood.

Maybe it's just my amateur conspiracy theory kicking in once again but, . I am not sure "they" want cheap health and healthy people just now. Maybe it doesn't follow the Rockafella medicine philosophy.

Elizabeth Holmes went head, shoulders, everything into the fraud, so no room for pity there, and she had plenty of money to play with to come up with at least a compromise system. A pareto chart of the most common and profitable illnesses to diagnose at first, focus on those, and build from there. It could of worked imho. Not impressed by the way the documentaries made it all look so impossible.

As a way to see my drift, look how Dr Robert Malone made progress on mRNA knowledge. (Hat Tip to 3bar & Richard Hennessy)

(539) Dr. Robert Malone, Inventor of using "RNA as a drug" and core mRNA and DNA vaccine technologies. - YouTube

But we must not exaggerate Dr Robert Malone contributions to medical science and technology as decreed by fact checkers Devika Khandelwal, who has a degree in Political Science and a Masters in International Relations.

Logically | Articles | Devika Khandelwal

Or indeed Alice Franklin who is good at creative writing amongst many other wonderful qualifications.

Double Check: Who Is Dr. Robert Malone? (logically.ai)

As it is, quick, reliable & cheap health testing has been knocked for six. Not everyone is disappointed I suspect.

and one has to be aware, you are reading the thoughts of an older white male -g-

<<Cough>>

<<ah hemmm !>>

So, in conclusion, I am so glad we have these medical scams, frauds & issues out the way now. Honest business can continue to run and keep the world safe. -lol-
