Most of us are males on these boards.
If you live long enough you will probably get prostate cancer, if male. Tied to diet and animal protein diets? Maybe. Read this if you are interested. Other types of cancer, who knows?

Maybe I am dealing with this. . But you cannot undo 60 yrs with a few yrs change in diet. My longterm diet ... typical meat and potatoes. And not many cancer negative foods, i.e. foods that help prevent cancer. Not sure but I think the % of prostate cancer in Indian males is a lot lower than in the US. Lot less animal protein in general, a lot of good anti cancer foods. They love their spices. I have done a lot of research it is complicated, and I am somewhat sure there is a gene/hereditary factor involved in the mix. Apparently was not in my favor.
Animal protein = animal protein, not just red meat.
Did you know that Merv Griffith died of prostate cancer? Guess he was also homosexual, not that it necessarily had anything to do with his prostate cancer.
New treatments coming out all the time, as we continue to live longer. Modern medicine, I am still alive because of this.
Eat healthy, not sure what that means, but I can say it means something different to me today, than 40 plus years ago. Maybe we have analysis by paralysis? Data overload today, it just is one of those things.
I am in general on a blue zone type of diet. Don't really miss the meat/animal protein. My wife is a good cook and makes me nice blue zone type meals. Kind of a nice change really. Something new.
I also try to drink a lot of green tea, take some tumeric pills, modified citrus pectin powder, vitamin D (vitamin E is negative for prostate cancer), and cordysep supplements.
Done a lot of reading. The Green Tea came up over and over and over, as a good cancer fighting agent. More than anything else per my older memory.
All of us older duffers need to hang in there. Still lots to live for.
