The most likely source of misinformation is the Heritage Foundation. They are very active in protecting established pharmaceutical companies and their profits. Designer mRNA are a threat not only to anti-viral medications but such cash-cows as insulin production and hormone treatment. All of those could be designed into an mRNA vector. "Mom-and-Pop" biotechs may be overwhelmed by the factory approach and that would eliminate a lot of small-cap ipos with their insider investors.
