Todd, Thanks for giving me a background on what exactly SMTC does. Seems like they have specialized niches that relate the the chip industry. I get the feeling that long term the company is worth holding onto, but that trading or option protection can be used. I looked over the 5 year graph of SMTC and it did have quite a spill in 95 for nearly 12 months and it seemed to go down about 50%. But the person who bought it in the beginning of 95, it looks like it could be had for about $3 at todays split price. Therefore to go from $3 to now $27 is quite impressive. Looks like SMTC is doing something right. I find it interesting how awful a stock can look in a correction and then just turn around in a bullish phase. Shows you that action alone does not always mean trouble is ahead. Of course we need to see earnings coming up, but somehow I feel the market not the fundamentals of SMTC drove the price down. Thanks again for the clear explanation. In the meantime I'm in a little of shock at what has happened in the last week and a half. I was about to turn in the towel with the market. It really is a psychological game IMO.
By the way I tried to pull up the C/Net article you posted but it talked about IBM and could not use the search function to find anything on SMTC.
Ron
