Actually appreciate your point of view, and admire your loyalty to the company.
I worry that IBM lost significant PC market share in the quarter (9% down to approximately 5.9%, year-over-year if memory serves me), stuffed the channel with a good deal of PC product at the end of the last quarter, according to two large resellers (who say they won't be ordering much this quarter), and got the boot from the Radio Shack's 6,800 stores. The company also warned of lower margins and profits for the next quarter. These are worrisome facts.

Another worry is that the flat revenues have existed for several quarters and commenced many months before the Asian meltdown commenced.

I believe that IBM's stock price is headed lower. Main reasons are:
- deteriorating quality of revenues.
- PC market share losses
- increasing debt (up 18% year-over-year) at a time when debt is causing plenty of problems for others.
- decreasing shareholder equity
- exposure to Asia
Anyway Art, we'll soon see. As always, appreciate the opportunity to exchange ideas.
Best, Earlie
