If Col Lawrence Wilkerson is correct, and whilst I remain agnostic, am swaying, for I sway easily in view of keep-it-simple facts and in alignment with mathematical logic, then the <<CIA/MIC>> adventure financed by the US taxpayers and drug users is hiccupped, and the initiative meanders from USA-led NATO over to the Russia-China led Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The whole speech is good enough for at least one listen, but particular to Xinjiang native lands, Uighur freedom fighters, and Afghanistan, start at the 20:30 mark
Apparently, according to the Lawrence, the reasons why Team USA entered and stayed in Afghanistan and aiming to stay for half a century was ONLY because of China China Pakistan and nothing to do w/ 911 or anything else, and in particular,
(i) the Pentagon wanted a base bordering China and within nexus of Belt & Road, in case freedom work needed,
(ii) the CIA wanted proximity to Xinjiang and be able to recruit Uighur freedom fighters from Syria and from Central Asia to torment freedom activities in Xinjiang
(iii) the Pentagon and CIA needed a base of operations close to Pakistan's nuclear weapons in case necessary to tee-up 'we will keep it' operation
Observations, that should the above be true, mission accomplished only to thee extent that the exercise lasted 20 years at cost of 2.2-4.4 trillion, financed cleverly by borrowing from the same China China and paying off Pakistan. Mission ended abruptly, and now facing a situation less favourable than in 2001, at much expense of credibility and interest on debt.
