I used to do business with Philip Kives - The K-Tel guy!

He invented the Veg-O-Matic! He also loved to play tennis.

I remember one of the last times I met with him in 1999. He said to me, "AJ, I'm bringing back the Veg-O-Matic!" (There was an entire generation who did not know about this mechanical marvel).

He lamented his company had gone public, and all his employees wanted to do was watch the stock price on their computer screens.

He used to tell me how hard it was in the music business when his catalog was so small. His big deal was K-Tel records.

It was pretty cool to do business with a guy whose products I used to see on TV in the 70's!

I used to ship his stuff globally. Australia, New Zealand, Scandanavia, Europe, England, France, Canada, etc.

Ron Popeil, who recently passed away, also had a connection with me. It's a small world when you get down to it.
