Speculation aside, the fact is that Gentia is jointly launching a new packaged application with Renaissance Worldwide that finally delivers on the need for an enterprise-deployable Balanced Scorecard application. For those not familiar, this is a strategic feedback and performance management system that focuses on leading as well as lagging business indicators. With upwards of 80% of the Fortune 1000 moving toward scorecards, most industry and financial analysts are seeing this as having excellent potential to be the next hot killer software application. Gentia's strategy also parallels the trend of organizations buying complete business solutions rather than trying to cobble together departmental/workgroup technology components into something that (hopefully) delivers the same results.
