IMHO, the problem is that the Libertarian mindset is such that ANYTHING that requires a collective response, is beyond the Pale, and so therefore must not be true or real. Ayn Forbid! Pandemics, AGW, environmental degradation, etc. All are things which God doesn't afflict good people with. Its only liberals who think they are afflicted by such things!
