If you're a baseball card collector, this is not good news at all.

As I read on a Facebook post regarding this change, companies that take over others do one of two things to raise the kind of money they'll need to buy Topps, Panini, or any other competitor.

They either keep the same quality of product and raise prices substantially (prices are already very high on baseball cards these days), or, they reduce quality substantially to keep the same prices.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet Fanatics goes with the first option in this case.

Most kids are priced out of the baseball card and sportscard market these days, it has become a hobby for adults.
