JGibbs- Almost every family owns 2 cars. Computers will be the same.

Not to say that we're ahead of the game, but we have 5 computers in this house not counting laptops. I think a lot of families are headed in this direction. Compaq and others will sell many more machines into homes. Unlike a TV set, the computer is not "group" oriented. You need more than one.

My two boys have always had computers in front of them from the time they were infants. Windows or Mac, doesn't matter. Both are 2nd nature by now. They're on the internet all the time for research on video game tricks and for their homework.

My ten-year-old just put up his own site on the Jedi Knights- I showed him some examples of html code and turned him loose. He was so excited he went at it for 14 hours straight. He has been using photoshop for 4 years so that was no sweat. The rest of it was hard coded with BB edit. I real proud of him. Have a look:

4r.net

I think I might rent him out. In any case, I think the new generation of kids are going to spend much more time on computers and the net and the demand for more than one machine in a family will skyrocket.
