'they' are not saying navy is obsolete, because it would be akin to saying mRNA vaccine is a dud, politically impractical.
In the big picture on the larger tapestry, all rather encouraging for planetary peace, when one stops to ponder it all, arguably, especially as nuclear parities amongst many parties can be reached cookie-cutting method.
In any case, I think it might be best to reckon (i) the missiles work, (ii) inexpensively, (iii) value for money, and (iv) there a quite a few of them.
