I also see that no other technology will pop up to short circuit DUV now that it is in full production by a number of companies. IT will take a great deal of time to replace this technology, far enough out in the future to make any investment now pay off.

Sounds like they're having problems w/ DUV in production mode and are trying to extend I-line. How long can they do this?
