I can confirm Jason's comments about NASD volume being higher than the actual so you can't really compare to the float. Why do you think the short position should be increasing? If more people are shorting the stock, shouldn't that put downward pressure on the price since people are selling shares they don't own? The price has been trending upward for the most part which could indicate people are covering. I think the shorts just help to exaggerate the price swings in either direction. (I don't short so I can't really say from experience). Whatever is happening, I like it.
