Support for NVIDIA's DLSS is on the way for several of the best PC games over the coming months. NVIDIA announced DLSS and ray tracing support for a long list of games at Gamescom 2021, including. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Dying Light 2 Stay Human. The company also highlighted NVIDIA DLSS in Proton, which lets Linux gamers utilize the upscaling technology.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy launches on October 26, 2021. The PC version will launch with both ray-traced reflections and DLSS support. Dying Light 2 Stay Human also supports NVIDIA DLSS and ray-traced reflections, though gamers will have to wait until December 2021 to play it.

It was already known that Battlefield 2042would support DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex, but at Gamescom 2021 we learned that Battlefield 2042 will be bundled with select GeForce RTX desktops and laptops for a limited time.

NVIDIA also announced an update to NVIDIA Reflex that optimizes Unity Engine-based games. The same update also enhances Boost Mode. The first games to take advantage of these improvements are Rust and Escape from Tarkov. According to NVIDIA, Escape from Tarkov saw latency reduced from 38% to 58%, while Rust went from 38% to 51%.

Myst launches later this week on August 26, 2021. It will support DLSS and ray-traced reflections at launch, which can more than double its performance, according to NVIDIA. Myst also supports DLSS in VR Mode, which lets people play the game at 4864 x 2448 resolution while hitting 90 FPS. To hit those figures on the Oculus Quest 2, you'll need an RTX 3080 or better to run the game at Max settings.

NVIDIA also detailed the improvements several games will see with DLSS support. Note that some of the gameplay trailers may not be live at the time of publication:
  • GRIT is a new battle royale based in the wild west that launches September 1 into Early Access with NVIDIA DLSS. DLSS will boost performance by up to 60% at 4K in GRIT. See it in action in a new DLSS comparison video.
