The evacuation rate is actually quite (factually) remarkable and historic.

Of course I remain concerned and compassionate about the future of human rights in Asia as authoritarian fascists in the short-term conquer all resistance in another possibly horrific regional scenes like the Japanese in Nanjing or the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.

The US staying in this war would not change this outcome, after two decades of trying,

Nevertheless the long-term possibility for a free more secular Afghanistan is still TBD, without the US, England, ISIS or "newcomers" like China. Hope springs eternal and a national resistance will rise. History and progress can be brutal and is made over decades and even centuries; not 2/4 or 8 year U.S. politician terms.

The blood is not on Biden's hands; it is on the Taliban, similar to ISIS in Iraq and Syria (also Bashir al-Assad (sharing his intra Syria genocidal authoritarianism with Trump BFF Putin.)

Most likely any other Biden Administration pullout "timing" would have seen the same or worse casualties.

Desperate for ratings, many pundits and political show hosts somehow think Biden could have pulled out with big smiles as if people were returning home from Disneyland and the images of panic are his fault. History will have more factual context when the emotions of the moment die down. The spin and the role of Trump (and Bush/Cheney) will be better understood as well.
