My Dad used to become really irritated every time some clever lawyer managed to make that bit of misdirection in "Hey, wait a minute... I'm the victim here"... actually work. Not guilty by reason of insanity... drove him crazy... He'd always argue... "it should be 'guilty, but insane' and yada, yada... insane being an explanation, not an excuse able to be exploited ? "I'm the victim here" might even be true... But, being a victim of some other... does not somehow excuse you in making others into victims yourself ? She doesn't appear overly abused in the photos... But, wait and see what she looks like when there's a jury considering her having been abused ?
