Jay, re: "seeing my hard earned money (not just paper profits) drop by several $K daily for months on end was a horrible experience. I went through countless nights without sleep"

You appear to have a low tolerance for risk, so your best bet would be to keep a smaller portion of your assets in technology stocks. Instead of listenening to the P.F.'s on the internet, you should find a good full service broker and ask him to recommend a balanced, low risk portfolio with bonds, blue chips and a smaller portion of higher risk stocks.

Going through a "horrible experience" and losing sleep is not what investing is about. You should invest to build your assets for your future, but never sacrifice your present peace of mind.

With your mindset, the worst thing you could do is to trade in and out of individual high beta stocks, it's almost guaranteed you would buy high and sell low. Good luck.
