beginning to recognize that they have been led down the primrose path...
As it happens, that's what I've been focused on this morning...
Not specifically in relation to "things Covid" and also not "the media"... whose recognition functions are, ah... corrupted and deliberately dysfunctional... The public trust [?] the media exist to and intend to expose "what is"... to inform us of the truth... but, that is not their function. They don't work for the public interest [in truth] but to foster the messages someone they do work for [$ interest / government] prefers the public to believe instead. But, the event of failure is telling, none the less, given that proof in our own awareness delivered when a shift is seen occurring. As that event becomes "our awareness of their recognition of a failure having occurred"... it includes far more information about "what is" than the subject itself appears it could contain.
That recognition function alone ensures that the perception shifts produced therein are LAGGING functions. So, change in multiple functions exist that are being revealed... one in the event of the subject "failure" itself, one in "our prior recognition of the failure", one in "their recognition of the failure", and one in "their recognition of the event of the failure of their prior attempts to lie to us about the failure"... or of the failure of other efforts to obfuscate and delay recognition of the truth.
But, knowing that last bit in their recognition of their failure, alone, being insufficient to redirect the media function toward "truth for its own sake" ? Their awareness in result may only engender a "doubling down" on messaging efforts to try to attempt to recover or regain lost control over "the narrative" while seeking to sustain sufficient purchase to sustain policy... in their own interest, and against the public interest, as that is the goal of their original and ongoing deception. Too many recent examples of that obvious failure to sustain a lie resulting only in "doubling down" on the lie ?
And, that behavior might persist for long periods of time ? Afghanistan the too obvious to ignore example today... persisted for over 20 years in claiming the flow of $ could and would change Afghans beliefs and expectations of the world... and thus alter their future choices of behavior ? And, "fiat money is a great idea"... sustained now for over 196 years while becoming only more entrenched... up until 2008, when a bit of cognitive dissonance "too big to ignore" first crept into the equation in the perception of many... That awareness of failure now drives bankers behavior, but has not yet become generalized awareness ?
So, that's not me dismissing the importance of recognizing that event when EVEN the media are (forced into) altering some behavior based on an emergent reality of some truth function FORCING its way into a tacit recognition... one in which the truth suppression effort has necessarily already failed... Rather, its me noting the "change" equates to s surrender... to recognition of a battle lost... or, at least, one in which the utility of their persisting in it is being abandoned... as costing them more than it is worth.
The failure mode in media is one in which a general perception of the media as fostering obvious untruth is untenable... as the business case fails when customers opt to avoid the "branded" products with revulsion. So, when the "preferred narrative" fails egregiously enough... the media's efforts will depend on a sudden course reversal... requiring them to backtrack and try to again leap out in front of the parade of public opinion and perception... once that has already turned a corner without them... It requires shifting from leading the prior effort in deception in which people were being led astray... to now leading the effort in criticism of the errors they were just recently fostering... hoping to regain some measure of trust... optimally in some corner of the contest where the specific loss doesn't matter much.
The tactical loss in one battle... isn't the proper focus of analysis... The goal in understanding "what is" wins a round... less in the exposure [or admission] to the public of lies we were already aware of being told... and more in the event that the reversal reveals something of the deeper meaning in the goals, the structure, and the strategy of the effort behind the lies being told... revealing more of "what is" not in the specific instance... but in the general case.
The evidence either that "its not working" or that "control is being lost"... matters in relative degree to other evidence that the event is representative of more than a "one off" instance ?
Significant energy is expended in sustaining boundaries... so that what happens in one "case" is not perceived as having any relevance in any other ? But, "what is"... that is behind the fostering of lies... is better seen by ignoring in each instance the obfuscations of the curtains... that "the man behind the curtain" intends the boundary thus created to sustain... so that nothing is what it seems... making control easier to sustain.
"Covid" policy... is not "a means of introducing totalitarian control" or about "the economy" ? "Elections" are not "the dollar" or "a means by which fraud is sustained and legitimized" ? "QE" is "inflation" and "is fully reversible" ? "Gold" is a "barbarous relic" and "not money" ? The "global economy" and "globalism" are "free markets" and not "mercantilism" or "globalist national socialism" ?
Sure, there might be a few problems in how things are going... but, its not like they're all connected ? |
