Mike, you're not boring me, interesting concept, try reading Jim Roger's Investment Biker (Soros's old sidekick) great travel/investing adventure. I do similar to you, any company I own which has a presence where Im visiting I will always visit, as well having invested in real estate over the years I will always check out local real estate prices etc. RE CLOSED END FUNDS (I should post something), I've had considerable success over the years by just buying (good quality) funds when the discounts are larger than normal and selling when less than normal, fairly safe stradgy so I tend to take bigger positions than I would with a stock, not hugh gains but low risk.
