Actually, I do not understand "LOI" or who you are specifically addressing when you say "Your system."
The system IS designed to reward the rich. No revelation here, its the so-called "American Dream" to be rich. It is an evolving (sometimes failing) system to break out of traditional caste systems from the darkest ages to modern times.
People and families of all races aren't flooding the southern borders and from Afghanistan because they want to be on welfare; they want a chance at more freedom. safety and to move up the ladder. People generally don't come here from the Americas, Asia and Africa seeking monarchy, authoritarian and/or classic socialist government.
Way broadly speaking, modern Democrats (and yes, the moderates) want to spread the wealth toward the middle and help the poor; fund public education as an equalizer, and create well paying new jobs in a transition to a more sustainable planet. Most democrats favor transition into a single payer health care system. Abortion rights and election finance reform too.
Most Republicans want to skew the wealth and power to the top and let it "trickle" down. They want to keep the fatcats at the old fossil fuel trough on top. With MAYBE three-or-four exceptions in the Congress, they uniformly believe in winning at any cost to democracy, and the ends-justify-the-means.
While the democrats are as they say, are like "herding cats." IMO your post is a quasi-demagogic example of why the left can't beat the RW, and get anything done. We are all getting played into internal conflicts. into the worst place-- nihlism.
Obviously this era is a disaster but the fight comes with the Democrats and the Independents. He/she who attacks rather than constructively criticize his/her own team reduces the wins.
Please, I do not want negative PM's, this should be a civil public discussion forum that is part politics, part friendships, part arts and plenty of creativity. I've heard it all in negative PMs already, believe me. Usually from angry conflicted RW people, but occasionally a lefty too. Constructive PMs are always appreciated. |
