I AM NOT a fan of inheritance tax... nor a fan of gift tax... here in Canada we have backdoor inheritance tax as all asserts stocks etc RE are 'effectively' liquidated .. taxed to estate... then transferred.. OTOH ... I can give any money I care to my kids or Ex or ANYONE 100% tax free,,,
