Tom,

You may be correct about re-negotiation of KSO contracts. I do not know. However I do not see that will impact the stock. TLK people are in the driver's seat. They have the monopoly and not going to do anything to jeopardize their future.

On HKT, here are some numbers. Their revenue has grown from 3.1 B in 93 to 4.2 B in 96. Net earnings has grown from 969 m to 1442 m in the same time frame. 1993-1996 was a period of intense competition in a number of areas. Telecommunication is not a zero sum game. Look at MCI, Sprint, ATT's growth here.
HKT has very good prospects in future due to the china connection. Unfortunately the stock price reflects it. Even during the HK market crash it held up rather well. I will love to buy this stock at 12-13 dollars. Giving up international license will reduce than margins, but growth will more than make for it. You probably heard of their negotiations to give up their international monopoly ahead of time. Do you think they would be entertaining this idea, if it was not in their best interest.

Jyoti
