You could make a case that way even if it was 0.1% effective. Lives and injuries would be saved.

The big problem is the simplicity in the analysis. The big assumption is that masks do no harm. That is far from the case, and reality bears this out.

The masks will not stop you from inhaling viruses from the environment. What they will do is help trap them in your body though. Do the reverse calculation. If viruses have been respired into your lungs as your immune system fights off the illness, what is the chances of them escaping? With and without a mask?? Your mask will be a resevoir of muck you have already breathed out.

Same with the rooms in a home. Rather then being a safe haven where you can finally remove your mask, they will be concentrated resevoirs of viruses... We human beings are stacked full of viruses if you check. Homes need good ventilation for freash clean air for breathing. Clean fresh air is an importanct factor in keeping the illness at bay.

Or do you disagee the importance of clean fresh air to breath?

No, the real purpose of the masks has nothing to do with protect anyones health. The mandatory masks are there to subdue peoples freedoms and they have been very effective at doing that. To help enforce social distancing and close down the global economy unless it's a big multinational like Amazon. And no, we don't live in a hospital operating room, and it's silly to pretend we do. Mandatory masks for the population is the biggest scam ever pulled on the human race... That is what the wearing of masks is all about.
