ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Topro, Inc., d.b.a. TAVA
Technologies, Inc., (Nasdaq: TPRO) a leading provider of automation and
information technology solutions to industry, today announced the shareholders
approved a formal change of the company name to TAVA Technologies, Inc.
TAVA is an acronym derived from Topro and three additional companies, ACT,
Vision Engineering and All Control Systems, each of which Topro acquired over
the last two years.
John Jenkins, TAVA CEO, stated, "We have been marketing the company's
products and services under the name TAVA for several months now, and the
formal name change will allow us to launch a much more aggressive identity
marketing campaign."
Jenkins added that the company has applied for National Market System
(NMS) listing on the Nasdaq, and that Hanifen-Imhoff, Inc, has initiated
research coverage on the company.
In additional news, shareholders elected Rick L. Schleufer and Judith A.
Draper as new members of its Board of Directors at the company's shareholder
meeting held January 29th.
Mr. Schleufer has been associated with Enterprise/IndeNet since 1986,
presently serving as director of IndeNet, Inc. and Chief Executive Officer of
Enterprise Systems Group, Inc. Enterprise Systems Group is a leading world-
wide supplier of broadcast software.
Ms. Draper has held the position of Director, Year 2000 Operations with
Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) since September, 1997 and directs
its Y2K Center. Ms. Draper held various computer project management positions
with the Social Security Administration from 1985 to September of 1997, most
recently as the Project Director -- Year 2000 and as the Director of the
Software Engineering Center.
