We need to protect the weaker nations when required and practical, like Ukraine.
What so many are doing is conflating the bad war efforts the last 60 years, all started and continued by right wingers e.g. Viet Nam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
But there have been good wars e.g. WW's I and 2, and I think the Korean war.
The liberals do much better in not making stupid wars, but they have not had real power for most of the last 70 years.
After the 1964 civil rights, as you know, the the south joined the Republicans, and with their seniority they have pretty much been running the show and they are dominated by right wing cretins, which we see in full display right now in that they don't even get vaccinated and we had to force them to quit segregation.
That mentality should not be confused with the real role we have in helping the world survive.
