Nevin,

Are you sinking my SPCT stock further? Cut it out! <g>
Honestly, SPCT's CEO did hype their 3Q97 results when it was probably apparent to him that Nortel was not going to pony up as much business as before when the annual purchasing contract was signed. I can't prove this though and it may have just been bad timing (the hype occurred at the end of August and the Nortel agreement was renewed in Sept. or early Oct. I believe).

At 18, SPCT seems to be heavily undervalued unless there is some other unknown weakness that is not public. My guess is that SPCT will earn $1.50-1.60 this year and start growing again from there. PWAV and SPCT own most of this growing market and as time goes on more and more captive business will go to merchant suppliers (this is always the pattern). Anyway, this stock should be at 30-45 by the end of the year (and PWAV at 20-30).

Of course, these are my opinions only and if wrong, you hopefully won't be able to find them in December.

Richard
