The best example of the courts taking power away from the Legislative and Executive Branches of government is ending the Voting Rights Act. This Act had been on the books for a generation, but the conservative justices knew their party was in the minority so they ended a law to ensure white men stay in power. They can undo Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and any other law now because of people like you.
