Enough on the income side. Well over $27k and 15% YOC, and I plan to start passing it on in 2022.
09/10/2021 10:00:35 Bought 25 ABBV @ 106.9 -2,672.50 09/10/2021 10:31:31 Bought 25 ENPH @ 160.01 -4,000.25
Could have added below my original buy but decided not to. Of course it closed at $2.78. 09/10/2021 12:25:44 Sold 2 CLRO @ 2.63 5.26 09/10/2021 15:24:00 Bought 25 ENPH @ 159.01 -3,975.25
Not about the $25. Thinking $150 should hold, but have a plan in case they take it back to $108. Stock has always surprised, up and down. 09/10/2021 15:48:32 Bought 25 ENPH @ 158.01 -3,950.25 09/10/2021 17:08:15 Sold 15 ENPH @ 159.12 2,386.79 09/10/2021 17:08:15 Sold 10 ENPH @ 159.01 1,590.09
I buy lots of stocks after just reading the company profile. The big money always knows more than I do, especially with small stocks. If it appears they want something, I want in. If things go in the right direction, then I look to seeing why.
First bought shares of ENPH in Nov. 2017. I could be all wet, but I think they could turn out to be the Apple of solar. I doubt $108 is in the cards this time, but I get excited thinking about it.
This appeared to be what sent shares to $108 after their April call:
"Looking to Q2, our shipment volumes will be constrained by semiconductor component availability. We have qualified new suppliers for our ASIC and AC FET drivers, which will result in increased shipments for Q2 compared to Q1. But the ramp from these new suppliers is slower than what we had anticipated before. We expect these component constraints to remain for the rest of the year. Let's now talk about manufacturing. As we have discussed in the past earnings calls, the demand for our microinverter systems continues to be well ahead of supply. In Q2, we experienced component constraints on the supply of AC FET drivers, which resulted in our microinverter shipment volume slightly lower as compared to Q1. We had 3 AC FET driver suppliers qualified by the end of the second quarter compared to 2 in the first quarter." ____________________________________________________________________________ Since then it has been to $201. Not responsible for accidents, but I believe their fourth quarter, reported in Jan. could be big. Their last call: ENPH $158.22 -$3.14 -1.95% - TIKR Terminal
__________________________________________________________________________ For the third quarter, we continue to expect to remain constrained on microinverters. But the supply situation is better than what it was in the second quarter. We expect to have 4 suppliers qualified by the end of the third quarter. Regarding the fourth quarter, we are cautiously optimistic that the situation will be significantly better compared to the third quarter.
The introduction of load control in late May, along with some pricing adjustments we did for our installers, plus the improvements in the commissioning process has resulted in an acceleration of demand for Enphase storage since June. As a result, we expect to ship between 60 and 70-megawatt hours of Enphase Storage Systems in the third quarter. We are already fully booked for Q3 on storage.
And we have seen since June enormous acceleration in storage demand, which is why we are guiding 50% from Q2 shipments. Q3 guidance, midpoint of guidance will be up 50% from Q2 shipments.
To answer your question on the fourth supplier, we expect the fourth supplier to turn on in the third quarter, we expect to at least get a couple of hundred thousand microinverters using that supplier.
Yes. I mean, look, our experience from IQ 6 to 7, that took about 4 to 5 quarters. And will IQ 8 be different? I think everybody has been waiting for IQ 8. And they are going to move to IQ 8. IQ 8 offers exceptional value. For the first time, you can run on sunshine without the grid. So I think it should ideally be faster, but let me put on my cautious hat and say we have -- we are in the middle of component supply issues. So we cannot get ahead of ourselves. I would say, at least 4 quarters. At least 4 quarters is what I think, could be plus, minus 1 or 2.
We expect first shipments of the IQ 8 PV microinverters in Q3, and first shipments of the IQ 8D product in Q4. Given our component supply challenges, we are going to ramp these products quite cautiously. __________________________________________________________________________________
