Correct me if I'm wrong but Ditto came to market in Fall '95 (remember seeing a lot of magazine reviews about that time) and Jaz in Jan '96.
This is much shorter than Zip (2nd Quarter '95) yet total sales of 2 million Jaz and Dittos vs. 3 million Zips suggests extremely robust sales of the former.

Here's my estimate of Quarterly "Storage SOlution" Sales which should match the sales information IOMG has released to date:

3/1/96 1 million Zips sold (as many Zips sold in 1Q as all previous
quarters)
6/1/96 2 million ZIps sold; 1 million Ditto and Jaz sold
10/1/96 3 million Zips sold; 2 million Ditto and Jaz sold

Confirmation of very strong Jaz sales comes from MacWeek's Top Hardware sales list for Aug-Sept (see Post 8424) listing Zip and Jaz at Positions 3 and 4 respectively.

If IOMG actually sold 0.5 million Jaz drives last quarter @ $250 revenue per drive (lowball, I think), along with Jaz disk revenues, they will possibly derive more revenue from Jaz this quarter than Zip.

I won't attempt to do an earnings estimate based on this information because I know many others out there have much more sophisticated models and I see no need to re-invent the wheel.

However, I would ask those out there who are estimating earnings for your comments on this information. By my reckoning, added Jaz revenues should offset lost Zip revenues.
