But this day I am impressed, that Mike is finally voicing a doubt, even it should turn out to be momentary, that all is not going well everywhere else in the world, bar almost none, and that he has no where to run away to. He is on the last line of defence, and there is little point to bash China China China, because America is going China, but China bull Louis is still a believer of the China bull story, albeit less confident than 7 years ago, and pointing out that China is simply on a different spot on the macro history cycle.
I am also troubled, because should China also fail along with the rest, then the world is doomed.
Louis view, and I agree, and the salary / compensation schema shows it, that STEM PhD graduates in China now make more than same in Europe, and a new elite group on cusp to rise and prosper, and the China Big Techs are drafted for national service, to drive hardware, for Protracted People's Endurance Struggle.
And Xi must be confused why USA had vacated a few thousand troops from Afghanistan and all those goodies ... minerals.
Given so, Taiwan has to sell themselves at a good price, and there is only one buyer. No invasion. Just simple economics. Invasion is a story by USA MIC. TSMC engineers recruited at 5X salary. People vote w/ feet.
Bottom line, ultra bullish should all go be trajectory.
