I don't know exactly what the new NASDAQ rules entail as far as remaining listed on the small cap board as opposed to the pink sheets, but I read a recent press release from a sub $1 company that had to announce a 1 for 4 reverse split which was "...in response to new listing requirements of the Nasdaq, which go into effect on February 23..." Does this requirement effect ALL sub $1 stocks on February 23rd??? I don't know. If so, ALAN doesn't have much time to get above $1. Barring a silver bullet type of announcement about a CDSI contract or even a large portion of a payment from China being applied to this quarter's numbers, I'm afraid that the next press release may be announcing a reverse split (IF they want to avoid the pink sheets). Bear in mind that I'm just speculating on this point right now. I have no proof or evidence of any kind AND I also want to state for the record that I do not own any shares of ALAN at this time. I jumped to the sidelines and made a razor thin profit just to see how this plays out over the next few weeks. But I DO agree with the other message on this board expressing bewilderment over how a (now) profitable company can be trading under a dollar. Maybe if we did go pink it would be a short time (a couple of quarters) before we could get re-listed (again, I don't know the rules). Good luck to everybody.
