I have had a case (to do with traffic altercation on which I was exonerated by the court system) against the HK police going since 2012, having a lot of spare time fun with it, incurring no expenses as am using no legal counsel, tying 'them' up in knots, getting 'them' to contradict each other over time, in written form, and can likely keep it going for another 9 years, as fresh lies caught over older lies.

I intend to keep the case open and fresh, await the opportune social-temperature moment, and go. The moment is not now.

The problem w/ the police complaint system is that they must investigate, and when caught short, must keep investigating and report progress, and when come to a conclusion not in alignment with earlier conclusions in substance get triangulated on and caught again, triggered mostly by deeper-delve of issues earlier papered over, then back to further discovery investigation and report back. And so the evidence pile of wrong-doing grows.

I do it as a social service, and I believe a necessary one.

As far as the police goes, unfortunately HK is one of the better ones on this planet, and get slapped around a lot, all along the way, and even so very extremely polite most of the times, and helpful.

An example I experienced is on a hot summer day, and I mean hot, the police pair climb down the hill to the beach level to warn the few beach goers that they shall be ticketed unless they stand by the cars with door open and engine on, for a few minutes until they are done with the cars which are not similarly 'people-ed' and leave for the rest of the day. Exemplary.

And for all the stuff the HK police put up with, miraculous that they remain mostly proper, and needing no de-funding.

On the other hand, the lawyer you referenced, he might have gone a fist too far. He has the option of getting final adjudication of exoneration (or not necessary) and try to tie the police in knots over many years, as a hobby, and if finally makes a winning case against the police, do his social service. He seems a tenacious sort.

As far as the Pelosi 'it's a beautiful sight' peaceful protesters go, as I was here and therefore can understand the collateral damage. The victims should do their social service per call of duty if there is a valid case and they have the tenacity.

Re the protest / riot I was and remain fairly consistent w/r to 'beautiful' part of the sights ...

Now let's see how this case goes. Do not know the facts, familiar with the possible circumstances, but no clue re any particulars

Does not bother me to visit Denver if it has merit.

A police complaint case, everything normal.

Hope goes as well as in HK

Two federal lawsuits allege Denver police violated protesters’ rights with excessive force during demonstrations over last year’s deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, the Denver Gazette reports.

The suits list a total of 50 plaintiffs. They name the city, unnamed defendants referred to as “Does 1 to 100”, and two police officers stemming from protests between May and July 2020, the newspaper reported.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
