Hi Alfonso (and all!). You've joined the meo at a news-dry time, but nonetheless an exciting time.
I am only guessing here, folks, but I assume we're onto hole 4or5 by now. Hole #3 was hopefully a success (not into muskeg). We should hear back from the lab next week-ish, I hope.
The stock is acting a lil weak, but the info chain is tight. Could it be there are v.few leaks? ;) I know that Montello wants to play this one confidentially 'til the official releases. The new staff policy is "keep me ignorant." :-)
Regarding the venerable geologists Senn and Downie (who are on site day and night), I thought I'd post this past NR from MEO for review: montello.com -------------------------- Monday, September 29, 1997 News Release Mr. Patrick Power, President of Montello Resources Ltd. ("Montello") (symbol: ASE-MEO) and Mr. Gary Korzenowski, President of Redwood Resources Ltd. ("Redwood") (symbol: ASE-RDW) and are pleased to report:
The companies (Redwood and Montello) have acquired the services of Mr. Michael Senn and Mr. Ian Downie to implement and manage the companies' Buffalo Hills diamond exploration project that is currently in progress. Mr. Senn and Downie bring many years of diamond exploration experience. Mr. Senn's background includes positions with Inco, Selco, B.P. Minerals and most recently (1996) RTZ as chief geoligist for the northern district which included exploration manager of Kennecott Exploration in the North West Territories. Mr. Downie is a geologist with 35 years of experience in exploration for the mineral industry primarily in Canada. For the past 5 years Mr. Downie has been an active consultant in diamond exploration in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the N.W.T. for Kennecott Canada Inc.
The companies have also initiated the application for permitting of selected drilling targets. Drilling dates will be announced once applications are approved.
In May 1997 Redwood and Montello entered into a Joint Venture agreement with respect to certain metallic and industrial mineral permits in the Buffalo Hills area near Peace River, Alberta. The Buffalo Hills Properties consist of approximately 4,000,000 acres near recent discoveries of diamondiferous kimberlite pipes.
On Behalf of the Board of Director, Patrick Power, President __________________________ We await some news!
