There is a war going on, and if one reads the MSM, the feel is that CoronaVac does not work, beating a Afghanistan-esque retreat or Korean War-esque fight in the other direction

Am following the story, and would say much FUD released by some political parties, and economic entities, locally and in USA, however, in the domains under conflict, CoronaVac is the majority, appears to be working, and folks boosting up

The municipality of Serrana, in the interior of São Paulo, started this Monday (6) the application of the third booster dose of CoronaVac, the immunizing agent against covid-19 produced by the Butantan Institute in partnership with the Chinese laboratory Sinovac. The goal is to apply 5,000 doses to seniors, aged 60 or over.

The action is part of Project S, conducted by Butantan, which monitors the results of vaccination in the city. The project, which studies the effectiveness of CoronaVac, began in February with the application of vaccines to the entire adult population of Serrana. In April, the municipality completed the complete immunization (with two doses) of the 27 thousand residents over 18 years of age.

The survey found a 95% drop in deaths from covid-19, 86% in hospitalizations and 80% in symptomatic cases of the disease in the city.

According to the director of Butantan, Dimas Covas, the application of the booster dose will allow the monitoring of the unfolding of the pandemic with the arrival of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
